Winter Residential 2025

At the close of 2025, we welcomed over 80 young people to our annual Winter Residential for a transformative weekend centered on the theme “Living Our Faith.” Together, we explored how to weave Islamic values into the fabric of our daily lives.

Our journey began with reflections on prophetic leadership. Lucy Bushill-Matthews guided us through the stories and legacies of different prophets, helping us discover timeless lessons for our own leadership journeys. Ustaad Ahtsham Ali then led us through thoughtful discussions on challenging contemporary questions—from the nuances of halal meat to navigating male-female interactions with wisdom and principle.

We also turned our attention to practical matters of faith and life. Farah Khan illuminated the importance of writing a will, walking us through Islamic inheritance laws and the careful division of wealth and assets. Former Campus member Musa Bostan shared invaluable insights on financial management as we embark on our careers, equipping us with tools to steward our resources responsibly.

The weekend ended with a deeply spiritual session with Sheikh Shafi Choudhury, who opened our hearts to more profound engagement with the Quran which holds the values we were learning to embody each day.

✨ Alongside talks and workshops, the moments in between truly made this residential unforgettable. We found connection and joy under the twinkling lights of our “Under the Night Sky” themed dinner, in the chaos of arts and crafts sessions, over board games, during peaceful walks between prayers, and through heartfelt conversations in the evenings. We love our residentials, and hope to continue to cultivate a culture of belonging, learning and positive action here at Campus.
