We are looking for volunteers who:

• Are highly motivated
• Have good command of English language
• Have good communication and organisation skills (to be able to work with schools and/or mosques effectively)
• Can work in a team and enjoys working with people
• Have spare time during the school day
• Have a desire to develop the skills to present
• Are committed to raising awareness about the Muslims faith and community
• Presenters should have an understanding of basics of Islam and represent the mainstream views of Muslims
• Presenters who are from minority Islamic positions should declare this to the school. They should present mainstream Islam according to the GCSE syllabus

For secondary schools:

• Can think on one’s feet
• Have an interest in contemporary issues and current affairs
• Can break down complex topics into bite-sized chunks and is able to communicate with children and young people in a way they can understand
