On Saturday, 20 December, me and a few campus members attended the inaugural Muslim Leadership Forum in Birmingham. The session offered thoughtful insights into the value of formative advocacy that is patient, disciplined, and purposeful, rather than reactive approaches that can be rushed and draining. We were introduced to a simple and practical framework that starts with shared core values, identifies current concerns, and leads to clear and constructive asks. We then explored this approach through group discussions on political neutrality in the workplace. Overall, the event was engaging and highly beneficial for young Muslim activists and aspiring leaders. I look forward to attending any future events and collaborations with the Muslim Leadership Forum , In Sha Allah.
