Campus Masterclass Review Feb 2025

This inspiring Masterclass centered on the theme of strengthening community ties.

* The first talk was delivered by Sheikh Fazal who spoke about the different levels of brotherhood which are based on:
-blood
-ethnicity/nationality (these bonds are recognised in Islam!)
-faith and the
-brotherhood of humanity (regardless of faith).

He emphasised the significance of bonds amongst Muslims, reinforcing the idea that unity is essential for a thriving community.

* Following this, Mahmooda Qureshi gave a heartfelt talk on ‘Building Communities’. Her speech was moving, as she shared real-life anecdotes of people she had worked with, illustrating the impact of kindness, cooperation, and collective effort in strengthening communities. Her words were both inspiring and thought-provoking.

* The final session by Samina Ali focused on psychology and specifically the role of positive relationships in our lives. The speaker discussed key aspects of healthy and unhealthy friendships, red flags and how to cultivate meaningful connections.

* Overall, it was an amazing day filled with wholesome reminders and the warmth of a supportive community. The event reinforced the importance of maintaining strong, positive relationships in both faith and everyday life.
