Why We Must Vote
Please join us for this vital talk with some great guest speakers: Abu Bakr from The Muslim Vote campaign, and Salma Yaqoob, Former Chair of the Respect Party.
There are horrible things happening in our country: support for genocide, maybe even WWIII, Islamophobia in the corridors of power but also pandering to corporate interests whilst poverty spirals out of control.
It is easy to despair, but we will only be asked about what we could do and if we did it, and voting is a small action that could make a big difference.
But many people aren’t sure it’s halal to vote, and how voting could really change things in Britain.
Inshallah next Wednesday, we’ll be challenging these misunderstandings head on, explaining why you can vote and you MUST vote!
