The recent Masterclass in Birmingham kicked off with a warm welcome followed by a Quran recitation to centre everyone’s intentions.
💭 Dr. Shazad Amin then discussed the challenges and strengths of “Coping as Spirits in a Traumatic World.”
After Dhuhr, Emaan led an inspiring Quran circle that brought everyone together in reflection.
🥗 Lunch was a satisfying spread of sandwiches, fueling us for an afternoon packed with insight and growth.
🇵🇸 After lunch, we were moved by Palestinian speaker Ehab Omar, who shared powerful stories of resilience from his homeland.
Later, we split into small groups for roundtable discussions, giving us the chance to engage personally with our speakers, including Aaya Miladi, Imaan Khan, Imam Wajid, Ehab Omar and Dr Shazad.
🤲🏽 Imam Wajid then led a powerful final session on building a “Spiritual Toolkit for Resilience,” followed by dhikr, Maghrib salah, and a heartfelt reminder by Hayaan on Islamophobia.
The evening wrapped up with a delicious dinner and a bake sale that raised £262.39 for Action For Humanity—for Palestine 🇵🇸
Alhamdulillah, such a fulfilling end to a memorable day!
