Members of Campus North and ISB Manchester gathered together on Friday evening for a Circle & Social.
We began with a reminder from Qanita about practical steps to deal with loss, such as including charity and gratitude in our lives. There was a beautiful recitation of Surah Insaan and then a discussion around optimism with examples seen in the seerah of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh.
We then prayed Isha in congregation. Afterwards, it was time for pizza and socialising.
Dr. Ammar Darwish presented about his time as a trauma surgeon in Gaza during the ongoing plausible genocide in Palestine. He left us with some touching stories of young children affected and their hope, optimism and strong faith in Allah during such difficult times.
We ended with a beautiful du’a
Alhamdulillah we managed to raise a total of £539.92 through donations for Action For Humanity (Palestine Appeal). Thank you to all those who attended and made it a wholesome event.
